Crock Pot Roast

Crock Pot Roast

To say I am obsessed with my crock pot is probably a huge understatement.  2013 is the year of the crock pot- you heard it here first.  I am constantly looking for easy recipes to try in my favorite appliance.  This crock pot recipe was recommended to me by a friend for an easy comfort food filled meal.  Pretty basic set up, it only involves 5 simple ingredients and less than 15 minutes of set up.

3 lb roast (chuck, round or rump)

1 lb baby carrots

1-2 lbs baby red potatoes, quartered

McCormick Slow Cooker Pot Roast Seasoning

1 cup water

Rinse roast with water and pat dry with a paper towels and place in slow cooker.  Rub seasoning from packet into the roast to infuse as much flavor as possible into the meat.  Pour 1 cups of water over the seasoned roast and combine the water with extra spices.  Fill slow cooker with baby carrots and quartered red potatoes.  Cook on low for 8 hours.

After 8 hours, remove from slow cooker and slice on a cutting board.  Serve with roasted carrots and potatoes.
