This past Sunday, I hosted a brunch for my roommate’s 23rd birthday. Thankfully, Vivian let me take the reigns for her big day and allowed me to plan the menu and even provided me with some amazing high quality photos to share with you all. I’ve been wanting to host a champagne and cake party since I started brainstorming for my own birthday, so what better way to celebrate one my my dearest friend’s birthdays. We did a little rearranging and pushed our dinning room table against the wall to house the sweet and savory bites and set up the champagne station on our mirrored bar/accent table. Almost every tasty treat that we made required oven time, so it was a bit difficult to get pictures of every single item before our guests devoured the bite sized items, but here are some of my favorites:
On the sweet side, we has strawberry shortcake cups, mini cinnamon rolls, a blueberry crumble coffee cake and bridging the gap, we had sweet and savory chicken & waffles skewers.
We utilized plastic mini champagne glasses to make clean up a breeze and ensure our guests took it easy on the champagne cocktails.
We topped off the party with a homemade double mint chocolate chip & dark chocolate ice cream cake- a special request from the birthday girl!
